Leave seasons

Summer- and winter-season leave is collected and planned on a board of its own. The seasons and deadlines come ready from the Annual Holidays Act, and exceptions can be adjusted yourself.
- From wishes to a confirmed list Employees submit their leave wishes, the supervisor fits them to staffing and confirms the season’s leave at once.
- Granted from the recorded balance Leave is granted from the recorded leave balance. The estimated accrual shows separately, so leave is never granted in advance by accident.
- One absence figure The same absence data shows in the calendar, in staffing and in reports – the figures agree with each other.

Leave and absence questions
01 Does leave accrual follow the Annual Holidays Act?
Yes. Accrual, the counting of weekdays and the leave seasons follow the Finnish Annual Holidays Act, and the rules are defined per leave group – different staff groups can have their own rules.
02 Do banked days appear on the same leave board?
They do. Days taken from the working-time bank, overtime bank or ADO balance are planned on the same board as annual leave, and the balance is charged only when the leave is confirmed.
03 How is sick leave recorded?
The whole period at once as a period entry. A pending request pauses the day’s proposal, so the same day never gets two conflicting records.
04 Does Kelomo support tracking long sick leaves?
Yes. The 30-, 60- and 90-day thresholds of a sick leave appear as reminders in the HR worklist, in line with the early-support model, and your organisation’s own early-support guideline shows alongside the reminder (HR add-on).
