Automation and auto-confirmation

The settings on the Automation page – the signals for the self-learning day proposal, the default project and auto-confirmation of clean days.

Updated

On the Automation page you tune the self-learning day proposal and auto-confirmation: “Control the self-learning day proposal…”

The settings on the page are your own. You can switch every setting on and off whenever you like.

Tune the proposal’s signals

The Automation section holds the master switch Use self-learning automation.

The Learning and signals section tells you where the proposal gets its ingredients:

  • Use the calendar in the proposal – the timings of the bookings are included. See Connect your calendar.
  • Use my learned typical day – the proposal uses the rhythm learned from your earlier days.
  • Suggest your usual project – the project you usually record on.
  • Read calendar titles for projectsoff by default. When this is on, only the derived project is stored from the title.
  • Destination country from the event title
  • Allow learning – when off, no new information is gathered.
  • Forget what was learned – resets what has been learned.

In the Default project section you set the project that entries are proposed on when no other signal knows better.

Confirm clean days for you

The Auto-confirmation section holds the setting Confirm clean days for me. It only applies to past days that Kelomo recognises as high-confidence and deviation-free. Days that deviate are always left for you to confirm.

Auto-confirmation is your authorisation given in advance: the day is marked as confirmed in your name, not your supervisor’s.

You recognise an auto-confirmed day from the message: “This day was confirmed for you automatically. You can reopen it for editing.”

Reopen for editing opens the day, and a reopened day is not confirmed automatically again.

Auto-confirmation is always the employee’s own choice. Your employer cannot switch it on for you. If you do not want it, leave Confirm clean days for me off.

If you cannot find the Automation page

Automation appears in the My settings hub only once your employer has turned self-learning automation on. If the tab is not there, the feature is not in use in your workspace — you record and confirm your days as usual. Ask your admin to turn it on if you want it.

Automation is off by default, and the employer turns it on separately.

Switching automation off does not remove the ordinary calendar or model proposal: Kelomo still builds a day proposal from the work-time model and the calendar. What goes away is the self-learning part, which draws conclusions about your own working habits.

If something goes wrong

The proposal keeps stubbornly suggesting the wrong project. Check the Default project and, if needed, switch Suggest your usual project off. If the learned pattern is out of date – you changed team or the nature of the work changed – press Forget what was learned.

A day was confirmed even though you wanted to review it. Press Reopen for editing, correct it and confirm it again. You can reopen your own confirmed day as long as your supervisor has not approved it yet – after that, see Correct an already confirmed day.

You do not want Kelomo learning about you. Switch Allow learning off and press Forget what was learned.
