The proposal can be edited before confirmation. If the day went differently from what the proposal shows, correct the entries yourself. Open Working time from the main menu – the heading is My week.
Every change saves immediately: you see Saved. and an Undo button for ten seconds. A draft can be edited as many times as you like, and the changes leave no trace. The day goes to your supervisor only after confirmation.
Choose a view
The page has three views: Week, Month and Timesheet.
- Week is best when the day’s timings matter. You paint the entry straight onto the timeline: “Paint on the calendar to create or change an entry.” Painting creates a new entry or changes an existing one.
- Month gives you an overview.
- Timesheet is best when you record hours on projects. You enter the hours into project × day cells, a whole week at a time.
Read the Day breakdown
Open the Day breakdown from the day’s column header. It gathers the day’s data into one view:
| Row | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Expectation | What was expected of you – and from where: own planned shift, group shift, model day rule, weekday target or day off. |
| Recorded | What has accumulated on the day, with its sources: · punched, · proposal or · entered manually. |
| Work time and break {duration} | The day’s frame: start, end and the length of the break. |
| Balance effect | What the day does to your balance. |
| Statutory overtime | Computed – requires the employer’s initiative. |
| To review | For example “Longer than target”, “Break missing” or “Work on a day off”. |
| Work entries | Entry type, starts, ends, billable and description. These are the ones you edit. |
| Effective rules | Break, flexitime, coffee break and overtime threshold – each with its source: from the shift, the model or the law. |
| Original punches | What the punch clock recorded. |
The frame, the break and the types
The day’s frame – start, end and break – is derived from the entries. The start is the earliest start, the end the latest end, and the break is the gap in the frame minus working time. A break is therefore not recorded as an entry of its own: when you take an hour for lunch, you leave an hour’s gap between the entries, and the break arises from it.
If you set the frame by hand, the manually set frame overrides the entries.
There are two types:
- Entry type is the type of a work entry: work, remote work, on-call and so on. A single day can have several entries and several entry types.
- Day type covers the whole day: sick leave, annual leave and the like. Then the frame is empty – no work was done that day.
Setting the frame cancels the day type. If you mark the day as sick leave and then give it a start and an end, the day counts as worked and the day type is removed.
If something goes wrong
You see the message “No work-time model has been assigned to you yet…”. Without a work-time model no expectation can be calculated for the day. Contact your administrator.
You changed the wrong day by accident. Press Undo within ten seconds. After that you correct the change like any other; a draft can be edited without restriction.
