Open the day and read the message shown when you try to confirm it. Resolve the issue, then try again. A draft may still need additional details before it can be confirmed.
A required tracking field is missing
Check required fields, such as project or cost centre, on entries that count as working time. Fill in each field on every entry that requires it.
If the correct option is unavailable, ask your supervisor to check the record and your access. Do not select an unrelated option just to confirm the day.
The project requires a phase or task
Selecting the project alone is not enough if its settings require a phase or task. Select the correct one for the work. The project manager can check the requirement and add a missing phase or task.
See Split a project into phases.
An entry exceeds its type’s maximum duration
Check the entry’s times, duration and type. Correct any typing error. If the entry accurately reflects the work, ask your supervisor or administrator to check the entry type and its limit.
Do not reduce actual working time or change the entry type just to bypass the limit. Split an entry between types only if the work genuinely consists of portions that should be recorded differently.
A manual entry needs a reason
If clocking in is required and you enter time manually, add the actual reason to the day’s note, such as a faulty time clock. Your supervisor can see the reason.
Time recorded by clocking in does not require the same explanation. If the message seems incorrect, review the entries with your supervisor.
The confirmation action is missing
The day may already be confirmed or may be waiting for a clock-out or an absence decision. A future date or a locked payroll period can also prevent confirmation. Check the day’s status and the reason shown.
See Confirm your workday.
Some days remain unconfirmed
When confirming several days, only some may succeed. Check the result and open any days left unconfirmed. Complete their details separately; do not assume the whole week or period was confirmed.
