Purchase invoices imported from your finance system need to be assigned to projects in Kelomo. Open Invoicing → Billable work and find Purchase invoices at the bottom of the page. Each row shows the supplier, amount, date and reference.
Assign a purchase invoice
Choose Assign to a project and enter:
- Project: the project the cost belongs to.
- Category: material, subcontracting, rental or other. This is used in reporting.
- Billed to the customer and Pricing: whether to bill the customer at cost, with a multiplier or by sell price. The default multiplier comes from the project.
This creates a draft purchase on the project. It follows the same approval process as a manually entered purchase. It becomes billable only after it has been approved and marked for re-invoicing.
Dismiss an unnecessary row
If the cost does not belong to a project, choose Dismiss and enter the reason. Use the dedicated filter to review dismissed rows. The reason remains available for later review.
Effect on project finances
An approved purchase is included in the project’s costs. If it is marked for re-invoicing, it also appears in the billing data so you can include it on an invoice.
