The occupational safety log

Record accidents, near misses and observations, follow the handling and produce an occupational safety report.

Updated

The occupational safety log collects accidents, near misses and safety observations in one place: People → Occupational safety.

Record an event

New entry takes the kind – accident, near miss or observation – the date and time of the event, the unit, the location and a description. An accident also records its severity (minor or serious). The entry gets an owner who carries the handling through.

An employee can also file a safety report themselves under Employment – the report arrives in the same log for handling, and the reporter sees the handling state in their Requests & reports view.

Handling

An entry’s state moves from Open through In progress to Resolved. An open accident report rises into the HR worklist until it is handled. The report kinds and their extra fields are defined in the settings.

The report

The Report action produces an occupational safety report for the chosen period – the entries by kind and unit, for example for the safety committee or an inspection.
