Project files

Store project contracts, plans and photos, and find files attached to tasks, quotes and deals.

Updated

Use the project’s Files tab to store contracts, plans, photos and other documents needed for the project.

Add and open files

Drag a file onto the upload area or select Add file. Choose a suitable category, such as contract, plan, photo or minutes. Categories make files easier to find later.

An uploaded file is checked before it can be opened. If processing is still in progress, wait for its status to update. If the upload fails, check the error message before trying again.

Who can access the files?

Administrators and the project owner can add and remove project files. A manager role alone does not grant permission to edit files in every project.

Project members can read project files while their project assignment is valid. Payroll users also have read access.

Attachments from tasks, quotes and deals

The same tab has separate sections for task attachments and files from quotes and deals linked to the project. These sections are visible to administrators, the project owner and payroll users, not to all project members.

The files stay attached to their original task, quote or deal. Follow the link to that record when you need to manage its attachments. The project file view does not create separate copies.
